Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CarAuto.app handles information when you use the CarAuto.app website, platform, Telegram-related login flow, and Chrome extension.
Purpose. CarAuto.app is an informational tool for preliminary vehicle import cost calculations. The Chrome extension is used to read supported vehicle listing pages, send the relevant data to CarAuto.app, and display estimated vehicle cost, customs payments, fees, logistics, broker costs, vehicle details, inspection information, history information, and report links when available.
Account and authentication data. CarAuto.app may process Telegram account identifiers, Telegram username, client or company assignment, role, access status, and extension access tokens. The Chrome extension may store an access token and basic settings in Chrome local storage on the user's device so the user can stay signed in and use the side panel.
Vehicle page data and website content. When the extension is used on a supported vehicle detail page, it may process the current page URL and vehicle-related content available on that page or related supported report pages. This can include vehicle identifiers, make, model, year, price, mileage, engine or fuel information, listing details, inspection data, accident or history information, images or links, and other data needed to prepare the calculation or report.
Manual calculator data. If the user enters information manually, CarAuto.app may process the entered vehicle price, currency, year, engine volume, fuel type, logistics, broker costs, exchange-rate mode, comments, and other calculation fields selected by the user.
Technical data. CarAuto.app may process technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as request timestamps, request identifiers, extension instance identifiers, vehicle identifiers, active tab context used for the calculation, IP address, browser or device information, error messages, and server logs.
How the data is used. Data is used to authenticate users, provide the Chrome extension and platform, calculate preliminary vehicle import costs, generate and display reports, enforce client access and monthly limits, maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and improve the core functionality of CarAuto.app.
What CarAuto.app does not do. CarAuto.app does not sell user data. CarAuto.app does not use user data for advertising, unrelated profiling, credit scoring, lending decisions, or determining financial eligibility. The extension is not intended to collect medical information, payment card information, precise geolocation, personal communications, or general browsing history outside the supported vehicle workflow.
Sharing and service providers. CarAuto.app may share data only when necessary to operate the service, comply with law, protect rights or security, or use infrastructure providers that support hosting, security, analytics for service reliability, Telegram login or sharing initiated by the user, and other essential platform functions. These providers may process data only for the service purposes described here.
Third-party websites and services. Supported vehicle marketplaces, Telegram, browser providers, and other third-party services have their own privacy practices. CarAuto.app is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services.
Retention. CarAuto.app keeps data only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including providing calculations and reports, maintaining account access, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, security, and backups. Local extension data can be cleared by signing out of the extension or removing the extension from Chrome.
Security. CarAuto.app uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect data, including HTTPS for network transmission and access controls for platform functions. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but CarAuto.app works to limit access to data according to business and operational need.
User choices and requests. Users may sign out of the Chrome extension, remove the extension from Chrome, or ask their company administrator to update or remove access. Privacy requests may be sent through the CarAuto.app support contact provided to the user's company or through the developer contact listed on the Chrome Web Store page for the extension.
Changes. CarAuto.app may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
